LSA is Founded

Laura Schriver founded LSA in 1991. 35 years later and many milestones later, she still owns 100% of the business. 

1991

Our First Clients

LSA's first clients were Immigration and Naturalization (INS) Asylum and New York State (NYS) Disability. Since then, LSA has grown to add prestigious clients, including Visa, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Disney, and many, many more.

1995

New Contract: INS Asylum

LSA wins the Over the Phone (OPI) Immigration and Naturalization (INS) Asylum contract with the Department of Justice.

1999

100 Fastest-Growing Companies

The Hispanic Business Journal names LSA to its list of 100 fastest-growing companies in America.

2000

Fastest-Growing, Privately-Held Companies

LSA is named one of the “Fastest-Growing, Privately-Held Companies in the Philadelphia Region” by the Philadelphia 100.

New Contract: EOIR

LSA signs a contract with the United States Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) for over the phone services.

New Contract: CDC

LSA signs a contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Translation and Localization services.

New Contract: Supreme Court of Virginia

LSA begins a contract with the Supreme Court of Virginia for OPI (Over the Phone Interpretation) services.

Best 50 Women in Business

Laura K.T. Schriver is named “Best 50 Women in Business” by Pennsylvania State Governor Edward G. Rendell.

Laura K.T. Schriver is named “Top 25 Women in Business” by the Philadelphia Business Journal.

New Contract: FEMA

LSA wins a highly competitive contract to provide the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with OPI (Over the Phone Interpretation) services.

Small Business Award: LSA graduated as the United States Small Business Administration Section 8(a) Business of the Year.​

LSA is named one of the “Fastest-Growing, Privately-Held Companies" for fifth consecutive year by Inc. Magazine.

2009

Business Continuity Plan

LSA creates a comprehensive business continuity plan (BCP) to ensure the company is prepared for an increase in demand for language assistance in the event of a potential Swine Flu pandemic. This plan was updated and utilized for the COVID-19 pandemic.

2010

Top 35 Global Language Service Providers

LSA is included in Common Sense Advisory’s list of "Top 35 Global Language Service Providers," which ranked the top translation, localization, and interpreting firms globally for 2009.

2011

Video Remote Interpreting

LSA begins offering Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services in American Sign Language and Spanish, officially making the company a full-service language provider.

2015

INTERPRECLOUD

LSA migrates its OPI platform to the cloud, INTERPRECLOUD, leveraging Aspect’s telco and Microsoft’s Azure systems.

2017

IRIS

LSA initiates Instant Remote Interpretation Services (IRIS - now the LSA Interpretation App), a one-touch mobile-device agnostic application for VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) and OPI (Over the Phone Interpretation) services.

2018

Disaster Recovery

LSA assists the Small Business Administration with disaster recovery relief for victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.

2019

ViTel Net: VRI

LSA partners with ViTel Net to integrate with a telemedicine solution by providing VRI (Video Remote Interpretation).

2020

Video Conference Solutions

LSA begins offering 5 video conference solutions to offer to clients to assist with virtual sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

2020

Remote Model

Due to COVID-19, LSA pivoted to a remote business model, expanding our geographical footprint and hiring top talent all across the United States.​

New LSA Brand

LSA rebranded with a new logo, appearance, website, and improved tools like the LSA App and Client Portal. ​

As the Official Interpretation and Translation Partner of Major League Soccer team, the Philadelphia Union, LSA is the presenting partner of Club.

This investment aims to enhance service offerings by integrating LSA's human interpretation and translation expertise with Lingolet's AI-driven language solutions.

Tampa Bay Sun Partnership

LSA became the official Interpretation and Translation provider of Tampa Bay Sun, FC, the first professional women's football club of Tampa Bay.
