Effective immediately, LSA customers will gain access to a full suite of AI-enhanced products through Lingolet, while Lingolet customers will now have the ability to escalate to human interpreters or start sessions with live interpreters directly through LSA.

To further solidify their alliance, LSA and Lingolet will participate in several joint marketing initiatives starting in Q2 2025. As part of the business arrangement, LSA is taking an ownership position in Lingolet and Mr. Cooper will join its Board of Directors.

Horsham, PA (April, 19, 2024) Language Services Associates (LSA), a leading provider of language interpretation and translation solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Scott Cooper to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LSA.  LSA’s Founder and former CEO, Laura K.T. Schriver, will continue to serve as Owner and Chair of LSA’s Board of Directors.  Following all required regulatory notices, the change became effective January 1, 2024.

Scott joined LSA in 2019. Under Scott’s leadership, LSA has experienced record growth, new innovations, and numerous awards for workplace positivity. In addition to serving as CEO, Scott a will also maintain his roles as President, General Council, and Board Member.

Scott came to LSA from Blank Rome LLP, where he practiced law for over 26 years. He was Firm-wide Chair of the Labor and Employment practice group, and eight times elected as a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. He had significant representations in the language services areas and related government regulation and represented LSA for over a decade before joining the company full time.

Laura Schriver founded LSA over three decades ago and through her unwavering dedication, transformed it into the industry-leading enterprise it is today. As the sole CEO in LSA’s history, and the driving force behind LSA’s growth, Laura has been instrumental in shaping the company’s identity and values.

Philadelphia Union and Language Services Associates Announce Multi-Year Renewal with Launch of Club LSA

Philadelphia Union and Language Services Associates, Inc. (LSA) today announced a multiyear renewal. As a part of the renewal, LSA becomes the presenting partner of the stadium’s exclusive premium Tunnel Club, to be renamed Club LSA, as the Union kick off the 2024 season. LSA will continue as the Official Language Services Provider of the Philadelphia Union & Subaru Park.

(LSA), a leading language interpretation and translation service provider, is thrilled to announce that Tuana Helvacioglu is the winner of the 2023 LSA Academic Honors Internship.    The LSA Academic Honors Internship is awarded to a high school student who shows great academic achievement, combined with a passion for languages and using them to help people.  It also provides an opportunity for the student to gain real world work experience working with a professional language service provider. The internship is hosted in a state-of-the-art remote work environment and requires school and parental approval to participate.  Tuana is a rising Junior honors student at Moorestown High School in New Jersey.  During the internship she spent the summer working on projects with LSA’s Client Experience, Contracts, Compliance, and Credentialing teams while learning about LSA’s many service lines and operations.  “At LSA, I spent time learning about all of LSA’s operations and focus on individuals with limited English proficiency. I shadowed the Client Experience division, learning the fundamentals of Contracting and Compliance. I also made a project plan that LSA will implement after I am back at school,” said Tuana of her time as an intern. “I was not only able to gain experience in professional corporate America and learn the inner workings of LSA, but I was able to apply my language skills to projects that helped LSA, their clients, and the LEP communities they serve. I learned a great many things that I can utilize throughout not only my career as a student, but for the rest of my life.”  Tuana, who is fluent in both English and Turkish and has taken classes in Mandarin and Spanish, worked closely with LSA’s staff on several projects, learning to use many of LSA’s essential programs.  “Tuana is an incredibly bright student with a promising future, and we are thrilled that she was our 2023 LSA Academic Honors Intern,” said Scott Cooper, President of LSA. “At its core, the LSA Academic Honors Internship is a way for LSA to give back to the community by offering aspiring students, who have a passion for language, opportunities to learn about how we deliver interpretation services to customers and patients throughout the country.”  LSA’s Academic Honors Internship is offered during the summer for high students who have a strong interest in language and want to gain valuable work experience, looking for a career path in the language industry, and developing skills that will be useful to them in their professional endeavors.  “LSA employees have so much pride in what they do. The festival is returning this year with free multicultural events, fireworks, block parties, Wawa Hoagie Day, and live performances from Demi Lovato and Ludacris. Wawa Welcome America is committed to making the event as inclusive and multicultural as possible, with programming commemorating Juneteenth, and the welcoming of the 40-year tradition of the Concilio Hispanic Fiesta to the festival – a celebration of Hispanic heritage through food, dance, and music.

The focus of the partnership will continue to be on promoting language access and optimizing the Fan Experience for the Limited English Proficient Union Community.

“LSA’s 2022 partnership with The Philadelphia Union proved to be the perfect pairing of sporting and language excellence,” said Scott Cooper, President of LSA. “We’re ready to support the Union as their Official Language Services provider and multilingual MVP for 2023.”

“We initiated our partnership with LSA last season in order to allow the Union to reach new audiences, and we achieved exactly that,” said Philadelphia Union Chief Revenue Officer, Charlie Slonaker. “We’ve been able to expand our communication efforts within the team, as well as with our fanbase. We’re excited to be able to continue this relationship as we look to further connect with fans in effective, meaningful ways.”

The partnership will expand on a variety of creative pairings including the Player Interview Series, where players share their favorite Philadelphia Union memories and stories in their native language, as well as several new fan engagement initiatives, rooted in language access. The Union will continue supporting these efforts by utilizing LSA’s vast network of highly skilled linguists in over 230 languages to increase communication to their vast Limited English Proficient fanbase.
