(August 10, 2009) – Language Services Associates (LSA) is excited to announce that President and CEO, Laura Schriver, has been selected by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the region’s minority business leaders in their inaugural Minority Business Leaders Awards Program.  Schriver was one of 29 honorees recognized by the Business Journal

“I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious award,” said Schriver.  “I am looking forward to meeting the rest of Philadelphia’s minority business leaders at the upcoming awards ceremony.”

Before forming LSA in 1991, Schriver was a distinguished court Interpreter for the 38^th Judicial District of the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania.  Under the leadership of Laura and her management team, LSA has seen unprecedented growth.  Today, almost 20 years since its inception, LSA is a proven leader in the language services industry with more than 130 employees, a network of 5,000 global Linguists and an astounding growth rate of 65% in 2008.
